Having responsibility for Public Exams, an area which is business critical, the efficient working of IT to support our pupils with access arrangements is vital. Becky presented herself as extremely knowledgeable and very efficient at updating our procedures and processes in the best interests of our pupils. Whilst her technical ability is without question, her inter personal skills are also very impressive. Being able to listen to issues then explain clearly and confidently the solutions was very reassuring to staff who had become highly critical of previous excuses. I have had many staff coming to me and providing compliments at how easy and how much better IT had become under Becky’s leadership.
Becky also provided a reassuring presence for pupils responding quickly and sympathetically to their needs having a complete awareness and understanding of the stressful situation they were in. Pupils were able to approach Becky secure in the knowledge that their issues would be resolved as quickly as possible. Becky understood that the pupils and staff came first and was a very strong advocate for their needs.
Becky also made sure that she was very high visibly, walking around the school talking to pupils and staff.
I have to say that under her direction, IT for the exams season improved and has never been better.
I wish her every success in her future career.
